The SoundStream WHD.UNLOC is the OEM integration upgrade kit for the WHD14+ head unit. It includes the iDataLink® Maestro® RR2 CAN bus interface module, a plug-and-play wire harness, and the firmware activation required to unlock full two-way communication between the WHD14+ and your Harley's factory systems.
The WHD14+ on its own handles CarPlay, Android Auto, display, and audio. The WHD.UNLOC takes it further: add the kit and the WHD14+ gains real-time digital gauges on screen, pop-up warnings for engine vitals, advanced programmable thumb control mapping, and retention of Boom!™ Stage 1, Stage 2, and HD Audio OEM amplifiers across the full 2014–2024 Harley-Davidson® Touring range. One kit — everything needed to complete the integration.
What the WHD.UNLOC Unlocks
Digital gauges — Up to 10 real-time digital gauges displayed on screen, selected from 40+ available parameters including oil pressure, engine temperature, gear position, battery voltage, fuel level, and more, subject to the data available from your specific bike.
Pop-up warnings — Critical readings for oil pressure, fuel level, engine temperature, and other parameters trigger on-screen alerts without needing to watch the gauge screen continuously.
Advanced thumb control mapping — OEM handlebar thumb controls become fully programmable, including press-and-hold functions for scrolling, selecting, and adjusting playback and settings — going beyond the basic volume, track, and call functions available without the kit.
Boom!™ amplifier retention — The WHD.UNLOC + Maestro® RR2 combination enables retention of Boom!™ Stage 1, Stage 2, and Harley HD Audio OEM amplifiers across the full 2014–2024 Touring range, preserving the factory audio system when upgrading the head unit.
Kit Contents
The WHD.UNLOC kit includes everything required for the integration: the iDataLink® Maestro® RR2 CAN bus module, a plug-and-play wire harness that connects directly to the WHD14+'s pre-wired harness without splicing factory wiring, and the firmware activation update for the WHD14+ radio.

When the WHD.UNLOC is purchased with the SoundStream WHD14+, MAA pre-configure the Maestro® RR2 module before shipping, matched to your specific Harley model. The firmware activation is already installed, the CAN bus integration is pre-programmed, and the unit arrives ready to install — no setup, no software, no guesswork. A bundle combining the WHD14+ and WHD.UNLOC is available — contact MAA when ordering.
The SoundStream WHD.UNLOC is designed exclusively for the SoundStream WHD14+ head unit. It is not compatible with any other SoundStream head unit, including the WHD.9813, WHD.RG, WHD.SG, Reserve SG.V2, or Reserve V2.
Digital gauge availability is subject to the data available from your specific bike's CAN bus. The number of displayable gauges may vary by model and year.
